As recently as three years ago, I was running marathons in the 3:40s. With Kelly, I’ve run a 3:13 and a 3:14, good enough to qualify for the Boston Marathon. She also coached me to my first 70.3 event, last fall. The reasons I love working with her are pretty straightforward: I’ve had consistent breakthroughs in training and racing; I’ve suffered zero injuries in two years’ time with her; she offers constructive and detailed feedback; and she makes me believe in myself — in my physical strength, but also in my mental strength. I do well on my own; but with Kelly watching over me, I always feel focused and fulfilled as an athlete.
