Ashley Kollme is a former Division I Track & Field and Cross-Country athlete and has been a competitive runner for over 15 years. Ashley is passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds discover the empowering effects of running. She understands the importance of balance and tailors her athletes’ schedules to their daily demands. As a busy mom of three, she knows the importance of efficiency and proper time management (and is the queen of short and effective workouts when necessary)! Ashley serves as Chair of the Board of the Girls Gotta Run Foundation, which supports girls education through running in Ethiopia. She has served as a coach for Girls on the Run and is also Secretary of the Team Drea Foundation, which raises money through endurance races to get closer to a cure for ALS. Her professional background includes college admissions, and private college counseling, and she had the pleasure of serving as the Assistant Coach at Davidson College for Cross-Country. Ashley has a B.A. in Religion from Davidson College and a Masters of Education from Harvard University.
As a collegiate runner, Ashley served as the co-captain of Davidson’s Cross-Country team. She has run over ten marathons, with a personal record of 2:59, and a half marathon PR of 1:22. In 2015, Ashley won the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 5K and earned a ranking of first in her age group for the PR Trophy Series in the nation’s capital. Ashley has raced for the Pacers Elite Racing Team and the Capital Area Runners Racing Team in the Washington metropolitan region, where she resides with her husband, Doug, and three children, Otto, Ella, and Max.
